Welcome! I know, not the typical intro to ones self but hey you're on this page to find out who Greg Williams is right so 'Welcome' seems fitting.

Perhaps it's genetic or the fact I was intrigued by my Fathers Kodak Pony 135 camera which was given to my Grandmother for her wedding over 40 years ago that Photography and turning it into an art form held such a passion over my life. Buying my first camera with an Optional Telephoto-switching lens from Consumers Distributing I can still remember opening it from the Argus packaging. The mere $36 I spent that day after waiting a week for it to arrive felt I had the world in my hands and I didn't look back. I eventually lost the camera or it broke. Several years past, the Kodak Pony kept my interest with the adjustable Aperature, Shutter and focus ring, neither of which you knew you had set correctly until you had film developed. I shot my first wedding with that when I was 16 trying my best to stay out of the 'actual' photographers way. I learned a lot, mostly from the overexposed images but to me it was an inspiration to do more and keep trying.

Eventually I dove into the SLR world in 2002 with the purchase of one of the highest selling 35mm SLR's ever made, the Pentax K1000. Again, fully manual but this time I had the advantage with a basic light meter! Very few overexposed images from then on which saved on film. It was a great learning curve; A beautiful Camera I will hold onto for life.

Carrying over the legacy Pentax quality lenses matched with the quality and refinement introduced by digital technology; capturing the most simple object to those that will last a life time is more than a simple release of a shutter but an expression of art and personal creativity.
